Authenticity is Key:
Chris replicates the sound and feel of Clapton by using the exact guitars and style amplifiers, as well as plugging straight in. The effects are limited to a wah-wah pedal and Leslie, along with a touch of reverb. The added overdrive is achieved by using the 25db mid-boost on the guitars. This drives the amplifiers to create the signature sound, and exactly how EC does it himself. There’s no shortcut by using modelers, and additional pedals. It’s all in the hands…
