After completing four years of service in the U.S. Army, Curley relocated to Frankfurt, Germany, at the age of 22. During the next two and a half years, he gained valuable professional experience as a bassist performing with the jazz fusion/funk group Leaf and The Washington Blues Band, a trio featuring bass, guitar, and three-part vocal harmonies.
Originally from Lancaster, South Carolina, Curley performed his first professional gig at the age of 15, beginning a lifelong career in music. Upon returning to the United States, he continued performing with several churches in Junction City, Kansas, and Tulsa, Oklahoma.
After spending several years with the South Carolina-based rock band Mr. Pleaze, Curley went on to serve as bassist for a number of well-known Myrtle Beach acts, including The Tim Clark Band, Mark Roberts and the Breeze, and Gary Lowder and Smokin' Hot.
Following a successful video audition, Curley was invited to join The B.B. King All Stars aboard Holland America Line cruise ships. His tenure with the group lasted nearly four years before coming to an end as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
After relocating to Fort Myers, Florida, Curley continued performing with a local church, participated in various freelance music projects, and expanded his expertise in music production. To further develop his skills, he enrolled in Full Sail University's online program through the VA education benefits program, focusing on modern music production and recording techniques.
Today, Curley brings decades of performance experience spanning rock, blues, funk, jazz fusion, gospel, and live entertainment. His career reflects a deep commitment to musicianship, professionalism, and as both a performer and music producer.
